Message I have run a fully built, and balanced bottom end on my Z for about 8000 miles, approximately 600Hp at the crank. For this whole time I have been running a Stillen (UR) Underdrive along with an UR Overdrive pulley. Now, I realize that VG's generally do well in terms of the harmonics department in higher power levels, but I can't help but feel paranoid about this possibly being a contributing factor to accelerated wear on bearings.

I know the ATI super damper (race version) is a good option for those with higher power but, honestly I can't justify the price for the minimal power gains at this point - so I am considering reverting to OEM (I have too much power for road coursing already). Would it be reasonable to go back to stock crank pulley and water pump pulley, or is it a safe bet to run an underdrive? I really want to maintain the inegrity on the VG, whilst it being able to handle a lot of hard driving and have it last as long as possible.

As for a personal side note: I have changed my clutch recently to an OS giken twin plate, so I am assuming the rotating assy is no longer perfectly balanced. In my case, that would be a small caveat to consider as well, I really think if rotating assembly isn't perfectly balanced or otherwise stock, maybe it is time to consider a safer option over the more aggressive power-gaining approach.
